Christopher trained at and graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Edinburgh in 2012. He spent the first year in a mixed practice on the Suffolk and Norfolk border covering a broad spectrum of work.

In 2013 he took up a position working alongside a number of very experienced racing vets at Rossdales Newmarket. In 2014 he undertook a two year rotating internship at Rossdales, one of the largest equine hospitals in Europe.

From there, Christopher has worked in a large, international racing and sports horse practice for the last eight years. In that time he has completed four years of additional study to attain two advanced practitioner certificates in equine lameness and equine dentistry. Christopher is a member of the Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons and is an FEI official veterinarian and permitted treating vet.

Christopher has a great passion for equine lameness and dentistry, however, he is well versed in all aspects of equine practice. Over the last 13 years, Christopher has been involved in the care of equine athletes competing at the pinnacle of their sport: most notably multiple group 1 winning thoroughbreds, Olympic eventers and HOYS champions.

Outside of work, Chris is married to Kate who is also a Vet. They have three young children, Angus, Henry and Beatrice.
