FAQs
What are the quarantine and isolation requirements before my horse can travel?
Some destinations (e.g., USA, Australia, New Zealand) require isolation periods before departure. We, along with the shipping agent, will guide you on timing and approved facilities.
Do you manage the entire export process, or do I need to work with a separate shipping agent?
We handle all veterinary requirements. You will still need to appoint a shipping agent to arrange transport, and we liaise directly with them to keep the process seamless.
What specific blood tests, vaccinations, and certifications are required for my horse?
Requirements vary by country but often include Coggins (EIA), EVA, piroplasmosis, dourine, glanders, CEM and equine influenza/tetanus vaccinations. We will advise based on the destination.
What is the difference in the export process for the EU, USA, and other international destinations?
EU exports generally have shorter timelines, while USA and international destinations often require additional testing, vaccinations, or quarantine periods.
How far in advance do I need to plan for an export?
Ideally, at least 4–6 weeks. Some countries have specific testing windows and vaccination requirements, so early planning is essential.
