FAQs

What is the best age to castrate my colt?

Generally between 12–24 months, though this can vary depending on temperament, management, and testicular development. We can advise the ideal timing for your horse

Should I just use a worming paste every few months?

No, routine worming can cause resistance. Targeted worming based on faecal egg counts is more effective and better for your horse’s long-term health.

How often does my horse need to be vaccinated, and for what?

Most horses require annual boosters for tetanus and influenza, with some competition bodies requiring more frequent flu vaccinations, we’ll keep you compliant.

What is the benefit of your mobile diagnostic imaging?

Immediate on-site results mean faster diagnoses, quicker decision-making, and less disruption for you and your horse.

My horse seems "off" but not obviously lame. What should I do?

Subtle performance issues can often be the first sign of lameness or discomfort. Early assessment allows us to catch problems before they become serious.
